A plantation bungalow like no other. With a view to die for. A veranda for coffee and dreams. Enveloped in misty and mystique mountains, monsoon magic, over looking a valley of lush green paddy fields, surrounded by ancient trees and woods, an open air deck where you can touch the stars with fire flies in matching resonance, a roaring camp fire to cockle the heart, a palatial plantation bungalow, with well appointed, elegant spacious but cosy rooms with a crackling fire place and also the drawing rooms and living rooms for large families to share stories by the fireside, wooden flooring for warmth, tiled roofs and built with richly colored local stones..in a word a ‘haven’ in other words ‘heaven on earth’.

You can take long walks and be lost in the wilderness without meeting a soul to be only woken up from your reverie by startled peacocks suddenly taking flight leaving a tail wind of breeze in their wake on your face. Or take a local and go for long treks. You don’t have to be an ornithologist to enjoy the songs of nameless birds and delight in their visual feast to your eyes or haunting concert of myriad crickets and cicadas at night.

The plantation is situated at 3500 feet above sea level and surrounded by mountains with salubrious weather through out the year- cool summers, magical monsoons with clouds wafting into the veranda and offering ‘cloud therapy’, ‘Autumn ! Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness’ , Winters .. brilliant days of sunshine to bask and soak, and chilly nights with crystal clear skies, and Ah Spring ! The burst of spring in a riot of colors to set your heart aflame.

Yes, come to Captains Bungalow ! For a vacation of your life time…
